Alright what’s been going on?
We’ve been working on figuring out how to work with a store based site on the basis of well you never know what will come up. We are about to launch another site soon – news on that will follow soon after the site goes public.
Also consider the age of your computer from time to time. Yes we all hate change, but going with a newer computer has some perks. One of the biggest perks is that you get a significant increase of speed. another is that you are now current with program changes too. I realize that one massive con is that its a change. But not all changes are bad. Remember that.
Okay so to bring people up to speed as the summer is ending, we are have been working on developing a new site for launch in time with labor day. Soon after we will work on recoding the company site and get ready for a re-upload. content will stay the same but there may be a drastic change depending on the physical layout. The redesign was put on hold for other things projects.
After the site relaunch we will be adding content to it regularly so check back from time to time. However something to look forward to will be incorporating the use of flash throughout future sites and with previous ones. Also a page that we will add is a portfolio page. So expect that soon after Labor day.
Recently we relaunched the Sussex County Democratic Committee’s website. Als0 recently a couple computers came in. One thing I find funny with some of the software that manufacturers put out also cripple a system. And it’s not like you can just shut off the process and assume it will stay off at reboot. You need to disable all services that trigger it. Now that takes some skill and knowledge of how Windows works. The main task manager doesn’t give you much information regarding the files that are running. Microsoft actually puts out a piece of software that is better than the task manager. And yet they don’t put it on the system by default. Why you may ask. Well that’s because it’s a bit more powerful than most would expect.
That’s it for now.
Alright, we all know that viruses are extremely prevalent on the web. We all know that viruses affect Windows systems more often than any else. But what most people don’t know is that anti-virus programs aren’t enough. Though I must say that to deal with viruses it is my professional opinion that virus protection alone isn’t enough. I would say you need an Internet Security package. But even that unfortunately doesn’t protect a system when you get an alert that causes a panic. The trick here is to stay calm. But also make sure that you don’t click on anything that pops up when you get that alert as it may be part of the virus. Nine times out of ten, that’s actually how a virus further infects a machine.
The more important fact is that sometimes viruses can’t be taken out of the machine by just scanning the machine with the virus scanner that you have installed. And even if you can remove the virus or viruses, there is still the chance that damage was done and you are stuck with a system that wont be able to be at 100% until you do a full system reformat. Keep in mind for most people this will cause the loss of all your data. But if we do it for you, we take the steps necessary to preserve and clean the data.
Well we are going through a minor redesign. There will be a very subtle change here and there on the overall layout of the site. But it’s to improve how the site looks on the overall whole.
I got the blog roll/feed working on the main part of the site thanks to some ingenious thoughts that didn’t occur prior to today’s post. However the functionality of the blog itself works on all browsers that I checked (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari). Next up getting a similar set up like this developed for other clients that want blogs.
Ok, trying to get this thing to be able to be seen on the main site isn’t working so well. I’m for once at a massive loss though I will be making a link directly to the blog soon
Time to see how all this will now work. This is just the start of things to come after I fix a few more problems. More to come.
